Freelancer FAQs

1. I’ve forgotten my password, what do I do?

Don’t worry, we’ve all been there. To reset your password all you have to do is click on the Forgotten Password link on the login page and we’ll send you an email with a new password. This usually takes less than an hour but could take longer during out of office hours.

2. I haven’t received an email to verify my account, what now?

Oops, you didn’t get our verification email? Try checking your spam folder. If it’s not in there please contact the Freesy Support Team on 020 7421 1645 or by

3. I can’t find the right job title, skills or certifications, what should I do?

If you can’t see your job title, skill(s) or certification(s) in our list, please get in touch with our Freesy Support team on 020 7421 1645 or to let us know what’s missing. After all, we want to make sure you get the credit you deserve.

4. How do I know what day rate to charge?

Pricing yourself up can be hard. If you’re not sure what day rate you should be charging, try searching for freelancers to see what similar people are charging. Remember, you can edit your day rate for each contract you apply for.

5. My profile picture won’t upload, what can I do?

It’s no good having a 10/10 profile but no picture to go with it. If your photo isn’t uploading, check the file size is below the 2MB limit. If you’re still having trouble, speak to our Freesy Support Team on 020 7421 1645 or email

6. I’d like to change my personal details, how do I do it?

If you need to change your name, email address or mobile number then please contact the Freesy Support team on 20 7421 1645 or and let us know what changes you’d like to make. We’re working on this feature to allow you to edit these details yourself so stay tuned.

7. I want to change my day rate, how do I do it?

Congratulations, you’ve levelled up and now you can charge more money. Head to your profile and click on the pencil icon above your picture. You can then edit your details, including the all important day rate.

8. How do I update my planner?

So you’ve found our planner - the tool that helps you manage your freelance availability. To add in time when you’re booked for a job, simply click add entry and select the start and end dates. You’ll also be able to add any holiday you have coming up 😎

Documents & screening

1. How do I complete the screening process?

You’ll need to complete screening before you can start working through Freesy. To do this, head to Engage where you’ll be able to upload all of the relevant documents and get yourself work ready.
